Sophie & Owen's Winter Wedding in Gloucestershire

Updated: Jul 19, 2022

There’s something quite special about a Winter wedding, so it’s no wonder that Sophie and Owen chose this enchanting season to say, “I do’. From the romantic warmth of the candles to the abundance of foliage, their wedding day was the epitome of ‘magical’.

The happy couple chose Elmore Court as the setting for their special day, beautifully captured by Laura Eperjesi Photography. Rather than going down the route of Winter wonderland using a cool silver and blue palette, Sophie & Owen opted to use lots of leafy greenery and foliage to give their wedding day a warm, Winter vibe full of style.

The groom and groomsmen wore foliage-based buttonholes with a single ivory rose wrapped in a white ribbon. They all looked incredibly smart teamed with navy woollen suits and burgundy ties.

The bride’s bouquet was bursting with white flowers and a plethora of greenery, including Eucalyptus for a beautiful scent. The bridesmaids had smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, which all worked beautifully with their white lace tops and grey tulle skirts.

When it came to the venue decoration, we used a handful of mistletoe to add a touch of Winter magic to their wedding chairs. We tied the mistletoe with the same white ribbon as the buttonholes for a look that was completely coordinated.

Sophie & Owen decorated the top table with a leafy foliage runner, working in a variety of candles placed on wooden coasters to add to the ambience. For the round guest tables, we created a circular greenery garland teamed with pillar candles. The combination of white tablecloths and greenery created an ultra-elegant wedding theme for their Winter celebration.

If you’re considering a Winter celebration, consider using greenery and white blooms for an alternative colour scheme sand wedding theme.
